The Product
The Van Damme 068-038-040 Tour Grade Classic XKE Starquad microphone cable is considered by many sound and broadcast engineers to be one of the best starquad microphone cables available on the market today. It has been specified for routing individual microphone level analogue audio signals in areas of high electronic interference. It is perfect for outside broadcast and location miocrophone use where high levels of EMI and RFI may be experienced, such as close proximity to lighting dimmer equipment and high power supply lines. The main signel conductors are a combination of silver plated and plain ultra pure oxygen free copper delivering unsurpassed sound quality. It has a tough yellow PVC/Neoprene composite jacket with an overall diameter of 6mm, with a braided screen of 128 x 0.10mm strands of tinned oxygen free copper wire. This offers the optimum in shielding without compromising flexibility, even at lower temperatures. It is also available in nine other colours.
