We are also working on an ultralow-noise linear power supply for ATX computers. There are ways to trick the bios on some PC mobos that would let you make a "Hackintosh" and run it on Apple OS X instead of Windows. We are working on a special ATX compatible mobo with separate power supplies for each board and chip. The plan is to use the same Bios that Apple uses so this mobo could be used with any OS including Apple OS X, Windows, and Linux so that our customers can use whatever operating system, software, and/or boards they want.
I also prefer Apple OS X to Windows 。。。
The plan is to have that ATX power supply and mobo that can run OS X, Windows, or Linux released some time early next year. Entry level cost would be about $4,000 for this custom media server package. If you wanted you could trade in your Mac Mini media server for one of these。。。 |
